Funding

The SBPT seeks funding to restore buildings from a variety of sources.  These include:

English Heritage:  Heritage Lottery Fund:  Architectural Heritage Fund:  Viridor-Credits: DEFRA: environmental trusts: other national and local Government initiatives:  Somerset County Council:  relevant District Councils in Somerset:  national charitable trusts: national companies:  local businesses and, very importantly, private donations.

In addition valuable contributions are frequently made in kind by professionals associated with a particular project.

The SBPT itself receives core funding from the Somerset County Council and the 5 District Councils in Somerset.   These generous grants allow for the day-to-day running of the Trust.

A part of the SBPT's day-to-day activity is to keep as many people as possible up to date with the work of the Trust through this Website, for which Viridor Waste Management generously provided sponsorship and for which the SBPT is most grateful.
